Introduction
Updated Aug 7, 2018 SHORT : Retired military on a full disability. Truly not much in to going out anymore. A "Confirmed Bachelor", who prefers only occasional 'no strings attached' evenings, now-a-days, should one happen. LONG : Hi (I am a 'pediatric platelet donor'; "IF" "IF" "IF" we decided to 'play', you had BETTER be clean, including NOT having the herpes virus "CMV" ... which can be harmful to babies / infants with diminished immune systems such as cancer patients going through chemotherapy. Why I basically do not 'readily' play; this is MUCH more important than a 'night out', to me, even as much fun as a 'night out', would be / has been needed for awhile.) Not much of a traveler anymore, though I would like to travel again. Have been to more than three dozen countries around the 'Pacific Rim' while in the military. Most radio talk shows I listened to have gone away in the last five years. I have just a couple of shows I do listen to, now: Rob, Anybody and Dawn, which airs in Reno ... out of Sacramento, and at times on NPR ... "Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me." Not much in to listening to radio now-a-days, otherwise, as many have become sterilized - repeat the group every half hour and the g every six hours - canned music stations or extreme topic such as sports and 'conservative right wing'. When I do listen to music, it usually is from the 50's to 90's, though I will break down for a 'pop' station if needed. From Oingo Boingo and B-52s, to Herb Alpert to Michael Franks, ABBA and Partridge Family to Depeche Mode. "NOT" though, Back Street Boys, Cold Play, Pussycat Dolls, or such 'stuff' like that, if you call that music, and no 'country' if I can avoid it. TV shows such as My Two Dads, Cheers and M*A*S*H and such for older shows. Some action drama. Older cartoons such as Bugs Bunny. Sports is "iffy". If I had cable I'd watch SOME history and 'how to' shows as well as oddball stuff. However, the TV is coming to be off more than on as well now-a-days: wow even with the number of "sub-channel networks" now airing on "OTA digital TV", I get to see "Ninja Warriers" and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, for example, on three different channels, and repeats of the same 'episodes' of shows every 4-6 weeks, now even when there are 200+ episodes. UGH. And gawd, the "CGI / hyper drama" stuff & garbage 'remakes / reboots of shows ... ... ... ... ... blah! I do like different foods, be it Italian, Mexican, Chinese/Japanese, German, Thai, of course American. (I had tried some INTERESTING foods when I visited different countries while in the navy.) Medical problems from happenings while in the navy have slowed me down. Peritonitis in 2005 that I've had complications from including a stroke in 2008 during one of many 'corrective' surgeries due to the peritonitis, I make it but it is OFTEN rough, still after so many years. I used to have a 1200cc Aspencade. It sat for too long --- 14 years --- due to my medical problems that it was not worth refurbishing. (One day I would like to upgrade a [used] 1500cc; not sure if I ever will, sigh.) I own a 'classic' car that I will be restoring -- eventually. I also have a bicycle, and though NOT in great shape due to problems occurred while in the navy [and somewhat the stroke], if I need them my feet will do, thank you. During my navy time I did volunteer work for the U.S.O. As well I part timed at some radios stations at my various duty stations. One cool goodie that came with the volunteering and being at the stations, is that I got to 'meet' various music groups like : Cheap Trick ... I 'roadied' for them when they were in San Diego in 1984 when I was at the U.S.O. that they sponsored the Cheap Trick concert, The Police, Beach Boys, Tom Petty, Kenny Rogers [ugh], Grateful Dead --- REALLY!!!!, Dire Straits, KISS, Aerosmith, several others. Met the group "ABBA" on their [only] U.S.A. tour in 1979 when I was part timing at a station in Los Angeles while in the Navy. (Yeah, I know, but back then it was a big thing.) My 'negative' side that has caused me to be bitter toward people: (There ... sadly ... is a " L O T " on "THIS" side of my profile, I could write.) "NOT" YOUR KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOR! I consider wedding rings "The world's smallest handcuffs"! Why I am so readily by myself for how "MOST" I have met, have acted ... ... ... the knives are thick in several places for the jackasses I have come across, sigh; males who lie and females who do not ask "me" before judging when a 'rumor' starts about me. (Oh, there is a 'lot' I can say about this part when it comes to relationships ... ... ... ... ...) If you ask me about 'religion' ... ... ... what you may hear about my dislike of the "organized / programmed / regimental / brainwashed" ways. (This comes from how often 'Bible Thumpers / Churchgoers have been the cause of "MANY" of the problems I have had throughout my life ... many I can 'prove' lied. The saying, you are not more a Christian because you go to Church, as you are a car for standing in a garage.) Not thrilled at people who are more like the so-called 'lemming' where though they may fully agree with what someone says they do it because they are a 'religious right wing wacko' or a 'liberal left wing freak' that because someone says so in their sect, it must be right ... why bother examining to see if it is in fact 'right', on your own. (How much on BOTH sides of the aisle is coming up ether a lie, false or not the 'truth' or a fact.) If you take on a job, LEARN THE JOB! I hate having to explain to someone who is being paid a whole heck of a lot of greenbacks, how to do their job that I'm not really trained for yet can figure it out better than them. (How often I've had to to back again, and again, and sometimes 'again', for something that if i had the right tools I could have done; I cannot afford $50,000+ for a wheel alignment machine I will use once every 3 years.) LEARN YOUR JOB! Yes, sometimes / often told I am a 'perfectionist' ... ... ... ... ... one does not leave a package on your stairs when it is 'raining' ... ... ... ... ... that is not being a 'perfectionist' as some people tell me I am ... ... ... ... ... that is simply "COMMON SENSE". (Guess what is slowly disappearing, sigh.............................why this specific 'paragraph, by me.) I have been told I have the peralities of people like: Norman Bates, Hannibal Lecter, Ja, Freddy Krueger, Christine (the car), "Here's Johnny". Or like: The Three Stooges, Heckle and Jeckle, Abbot and Costello, Don Rickles. It often depends on how my day / week / month has gone. I often also have been told I am 'soooo' dry, I could be Mr. Spock. At times I am such a mix of such I readily weird people out. It's me.

My Ideal Person I normally get along with most people as long as they are not liars, rude, slobs, jerks, 'brainwashed, "GIVE ME AND TO H#LL WITH YOU" a-hole attitudes. "GAWD", have I met many!

I guess it would pretty much depend on the situation of the meeting otherwise, whether it is just for coffee or an "NSA" 'home run'.
