Compositing and Composting

edited to add that your comments are invisible to me again. As soon as they become visible, I'll answer them.

I came across an interesting photographer who combines multiple shots into one crazy finished print. Pelle Cass is his name.

Pretty cool eh?

This weekend is my belated birthday girls weekend at the Jersey Shore. I'm hoping there won't be any photographic evidence like last time.....

NO, THAT'S NOT US, THAT'S A JOKE PICTURE!

If you garden, do you compost?

Those pics are crazy cool.

And the ones in your comment, hahaha...oh my goodness...hysterical.

I looked at them for almost an hour!!! I love stuff like that!

With the amount of celebrating, this is really been more like a birthyear celebration lol

Cool shots indeed.

And if it ever stays above freezing for an extended period, I do have some compost to dump in the garden.

Well hello nearly-a-neighbor, I bet your garden yields some awesome veggies. It's always amazing how much one raised bed can produce!

Just to show you how artsy I am . . . I'd like to see compositing done of porn.

If it's yours, looks like you have a pretty nice garden there.

A tree? Is that what they're calling them now? Well, I'd like to eat her tree!
The only one that I saw for what it actually is, was the melon banana.
Thanks for the post, you dirty perv!

Isn't he an artistic photographer! I don't compost as much as I could... mostly I just throw the coffee grounds into the garden or the outdoor plants and call it a day!

Thanks!!

Compositing was part of the course curriculum when I was getting my 3D Animation bachelors degree. I wasn't a fan of it at all, found it to be kind of a pain in the ass. He needs to put Waldo in at least one of his pictures, just to fuck with people and see if anyone spots him.

Damn, girl!! If that's your home garden, that is some pro-level stuff you've got going on.

I did not think those perspective pictures were anything but what the captions indicate that they are. Nope..not for one second...no...not at all.

I have some compost but I don't know it's composition. Your 3 girlfriends seem to have lost the composition.

Mind boggling photos from Mr Cass! Fabulous stuff!! Who was his Mama.......?

Happy birthday celebration when it comes.........I expect to be reading about you in the papers!!

On a small scale, composting as much as can be composted. Very satisfying, and a great place to get worms.....

Wake up and hold yer noses.........

This actually falls more on a "half" birthday... since I'm a christmas baby I get shortchanged sometimes. This is my girlfriends way of making sure I get my celebration in!

The composite photos are fun, then funny...can you imagine all those bodies flying off the diving boards?
And I do compost. Mostly when it’s warm enough to get to the compost heap but all the pulp and peels from my juice goes right back into my juice, in the end anyhow

Cool, you've gone all post-impressionist on us!

Along with the Immortales I also got a turnable compost bin as a wedding present. Five years later and its giving us some great muck. Which reminds me, I need to shovel the old seed husks from under the bird feeder and put them in the composter. Thanks for the nudge, you ol' whip-cracker!

And those composited photos are also a hoot. Ever heard of Jerry Uelsmann?

One whip-crackin' coming up! ?*

I didn't recognize the name so I searched him and darn if I haven't seen some of his work before... notably that house/stump morphing picture, love stuff like that!

Interesting concept for the photographer who 'combined' all those images. I don't particularly like them because it looks too busy.

Can't have a garden where I live unless I build a hydroponic one. I have a friend who composts and a worm garden that she puts into her garden tower. I am amazed that all that stinky brackish water is good for the plants.

I always wonder how artists come up with a completely original concept like that.

I have a compost bin but haven’t been able to get to it to feed it for a couple months (deep snow in the back yard and it was just replenished with another foot or so last weekend ).

Funny on the perspective one I spotted the tomato right away went back few minutes later and read it and realised my mind jumps to conclusions like every other mind I guess. Shows you always read the text not just the subtext. Like it.

Makes me a little dizzy the multiple shots pictures, must take a lot of time to compile it. Its a cool thing though. I could compost but I am planning the garden this year and I am in the process of drawing it up to lay out the next few years of project by project. Eventually I plan to have a green house and a small patch....so the the idea goes Tickle, my motivation is weak

Have fun on the Jersey shore junket

TicklePlease replies on 4/17/2018 5:55 am:
Those shots ARE a little overwhelming aren't they? The artist talked about how time consuming it is and that he doesn't move or edit any of the people! So many layers!

Funny about that motivation thing eh?

there's still a greenhouse roof (only) in the garden at my ex's from ohhhh....... 25 years ago that I never got quite motivated enough to finish lol

I just read your question in the sitesupport blog regarding delayed comments. I've been here long enough to know delayed comments in our blogs had nothing to do with the 'review" process.

The reason it happens had to do with the antiquated Mickey Mouse coding software system used by this site. The site software simply sucks.

It is impossible for the site staff to manually review millions of comments posted every day, they simply don't have the manpower. It would be disingenuous for them to claim otherwise.

I think they were being deliberately disingenuous. I understand they review the blog posts themselves, but the comments? No way they do that but it's a waste of time trying to argue that point with "support." Ugh. At least they DO show up eventually.... out of order, but eventually!

I'm still getting used to growing stuff outside, after 20 years in Scotland, I am conditioned to a short growing season in a greenhouse. I have a few things in the garden. Melons, peppers, tomatoes. We have horses so I use their poop from the barn to aid composting. I'm always amazed at how hot compost heaps get.

TicklePlease replies on 4/24/2018 6:21 am:
I used to have horses and we'd trade poop for blueberries every year lol!
