Blogger Superfecta!

I had the pleasure of meeting FOUR bloggers in my travels recently!

In chronological order... or order of finish if we're keeping with the gambling analogy, from Boston to Hawaii:

Rex, who's been mentioned in my blog before because we've known each other for NINE YEARS! Readers with a memory will be glad to know there was no crying in public this time.

Januaryman99, who beat me to writing about our dinner A fellow brown liquor lover with a scorching sense of humor, what's not to like about that!

wickedeasy, whose company made time FLY by. Who chose the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to. I think of you every time I wear my HeartCollector pendant!

gardenboy321, seriously.... who could go to Honolulu and NOT meet him? Out of all the fine food and drink I had on the island, the char sui sandwich and plantation iced tea at the local bbq were right there at the top of that list!

The "Wall" at the Worcester Art Museum, a large scale photograph by Robert and Shana ParkeHarrison who I discovered thanks to a picture [blog doe_ra_me] shared.

One of the "Peaceable Kingdom" paintings. At the WAM.

A lucky night getting to hear John Cleese talk in person about life with Monty Python!

no words...

On the way to my connection in Phoenix, the plane flew over the Salton Sea. I'd recently seen a documentary on it so seeing it from the air was a total bonus! (Having the snapchat altitude stamp was double bonus!)

Lastly, because I'm really disappointed in how my FSU Seminoles started their season... I'm asking for a little positive thinking and I'm willing to show a little flesh to get it...

John Cleese...Oh I bet that was a great and funny night to be hold.

Sounds like you had some great travels, glad to hear it was fun and safe

It was great getting to hear those "behind the scenes" stories about Python! Plus seeing Holy Grail on the big screen was a total bonus!

Have you seen the Worcester piece in person?
It is quite a strange experience.

I did but it was so big that I couldn't get it all into my camera in a postable kind of way.

seriously.... who could go to Honolulu and NOT meet him?

They need to put me on the list of scenic spots to visit whilst in Hawaii. lol It was a pleasure to finally meet you Tickle, and I'm so glad you enjoyed the local spot I took you to.

Btw- that third photo of the island is one of my favorite parts of the island... Makapuu Lookout, and beach.

Oh, it WAS pineapple juice that makes it Plantation Tea. I'm totally going to start drinking my southern sweet tea with pineapple juice from now on!

That lookout was incredible!

Ok, everything was incredible, you're a lucky fella GB!

Thanks again!

Meeting other bloggers has been the best part of my membership of the site....so glad you got to meet some more. I'm beginning to think you plan your trips around the bloggers you want to meet.

Darn, you've seen through my blogger-meeting plan!!

In every town I visit, I look up bloggers and see if there's someone I want to reach out to. Some reply, some don't. Some want to meet, some don't. I've been so lucky to meet some fantastic folks here!

The WAM is amazing. How did you like the rescued Roman hand- laid mosaic from Antioch in the foyer?/ And how about the Community Mosaic in the garden- over 1000 folks helped with this project. I exhibited photos in the MEOW festival a couple of years ago.
I wish I had know you were coming this way. I keep trying to hook up with
Wicked and travel to Boston/Worcester would have been a non-issue
Thanks fro sharing the photos

It was amazing! (confession time... while I was there, every time I saw something about that mosaic, I heard "The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch" in my head!)

I'll definitely reach out next time, I'll be back for some continuing ed at the Perkins School soon, we'd have a blast!!

*sigh* unfortunately, our Noles are struggling today...they are leading, but it's not by much...just a few minutes to go....

Lemme tell ya... I watched their damn Hokies opener game from the pool bar in Hawaii. I was the only unhappy person there. I know they're rebuilding and have a few qbs they're trying but for crying out loud, if they'd lost to the Samford (I had to fucking look it up) Bulldogs I'd have cried out loud!

I wish I'd have seen the band spell out "BURT" tho.

I thought I was seeing a piece of Dale Chihuly's glass art - until I recognized it as something else entirely.

What a lucky girl you are. There's nothing better than traveling and meeting bloggers.

Check out my profile or and become a "watcher" of my blog FMAOPLS,to learn more about me, and for intelligent, lively, smartassy and fun discussion, with a little irreverence thrown in. "Like" or comment on my photos, and I promise I'll add more. Thanks.

TicklePlease replies on 9/9/2018 3:14 pm:
You know, I hadn't made that connection before but you are absolutely right, there IS a resemblance to some of Chihuly's art! I'm thankful every day I'm able to travel the way I do... it's been such a pleasure!

Sounds like a fabulous trip(s), looks like a fabulous trip(s), and not only have you seen some amazing places and people, you've graced the places with your presence, and the folks you've met are so much richer for your experience.........and if that sounds cheesy, I'm sorry, but the truth is, I wish one your visits had been my home town, and one of the people you met had been me!!

Wake up and hold yer noses.........

Love the pictures of the sea Tickle you can understand why so many people want to live beside it when the colour is so amazing.

You sure know how to travel girl. Dead right might see as much of the world as you can!

The colors were amazing... I had no idea there were that many shades of blue! I didn't always have this opportunity to travel and there's no saying how long it will last so I'm going to take every chance I can to enlarge my world view!

I had to google what Seminole was...I thought it was a type of semolina or something. Apologies for that.

I'm always inordinately pleased when any American professes a knowledge of Monty Python. And then start spouting random quotes.

She turned me in to a newt. I got better!

TicklePlease replies on 9/22/2018 4:12 am:
To be honest, The Seminoles would probably lose to the Semolinas. (I'm picturing dueling hand gestures, the Seminole "chop" and the Semolina "italianfingers")

I don't think a day goes by here without either friend or family making a Python reference.
