This was a very important post about Global Climate Change. There are so many things that need to be done, and I hope all the Countries get on board and make changes to there global emissions.

How worried are you about climate change? Very worried, fires and storms get worse and more intense every year.

Do you think governments are doing enough to combat climate change? I know our Government is trying but the OLDER members of the Senate and House differ in their views of Global Climate Changes. They all need to come together to do what is right for the World.

How green are you in everyday life? I do all I can, we don't drive much anymore, we recycle and do all we can to protect the environment as best we can.

I hope you enjoy a Tantalizing Tuesday my friend..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

The biggest emissions at COP26 came from the mouths of the attendees.

I just hope these agreements all go ahead before it's too late. I'm more worried for the next generation regarding climate change.

Very concerned!
I have a gut feeling St. Peter has no clue who I am, and I'll be getting the 'fast pass' downstairs — where the climate is off the charts, f**king hot! 😮❗❗

And all of the private jets used to get to the summit. Hypocrits.

Given the nature of the human animal, in the aggregate, I fear that the first cartoon is spot on. I would rather it wasn’t, but …

If we were attempting to apply the current level of “urgency” even a decade ago would likely still be too late, at least for a goal like 1.5C. Humans tend to be fairly good at skewing things towards the way we see the world, so some might believe (hope) we can still accomplish what parts of society want to (I flash to one Homer Simpson chasing a runaway, tumbling roast down a hill, exclaiming all the way, “it’s only a little dirty; it’s still OK!”).

As to the question in your obligatory first comment - yes, it absolutely is pure coincidence that people who would support/fan-boy/fawn over the Cheeto-frosted genius also believe these other patently-silly ideas (speaking of which, how is that Brexit thing goin’?). As Sheldon would probably say, “correlation does not prove causation.” Shut up, Cooper! And, when are we going to grow up … ?

Humans far outnumber meat animals. Why aren't they looking to reduce humans? Just curious. If they outlaw farts Cowboy is going to prison forever! LOL

I lump errands together to save fuel. Hang clothes on a line. I reuse anything I can then rehome or recycle everything that is done being useful. I also grow some of my own food.

COP26 was better than previous meets 'tho as usual too many fudges, like many here I practice doing my bit, now 80-90% plant based only 10-20% indulgences, (filter coffee, dark chocolate,) tho wet pussy juice is carbon neutral IMHO! I attended 2 events today, 1st) London Build, a mixed bag 'tho many good intentions with positive conference sessions; recommended reading is "Cradle to Cradle" & "The Divide" as latter includes best Attenborough quote "anyone who thinks continuous increases in GDR with only 1 finite planet is either mad or an economist"; 2nd) was cocktail reception for various city types prior to London conference tomorrow, refreshing to speak to a couple of people about how they're taking their ESG commitments seriously 'tho wading through too many definitions & measurement criteria, reminded me of Yoda "Do or not Do" i.e. practice not "try" & use all feedback to improve further attmempts, big warm ('tho not too warm) hugs Mark

I agree that we're screwed. I'm actually glad that I never managed to have any kids.

I would say I live a moderately green lifestyle. I don't drive much, and I have a hybrid car. I keep the thermostat turned down. Had an energy audit from our local utility company where they replaced all my light bulbs with LED's and recommended I beef up attic insulation, which I did. I recently saw a chart that showed beef has more than twice the carbon impact of any other meat, so I'm going to stop buying beef (I already was not buying much).

On the bad side, I live alone in a house that is bigger than what one person needs. I'm guessing at some point I'll downsize into an apartment or condo.

    Quoting  :

Yes, I agree that COP26 is better than doing nothing and hoping that 'market forces' or some other wishful thinking will provide solutions.

Call me cynical, but no one wants to address the elephant in the room - the notion of perpetually increasing economic growth, which really means exponential resource consumption, which at some point has to become unsustainable.
Not sure what would replace that model and that is a problem

I suspect that at some point in the future that change will be imposed upon the world order, possibly because of the ramifications brought on by increasing climate variability, or even something like a stray asteroid or extreme solar activity damaging our electrified existence.
In reality it won't be any one factor, but more likely a combination of things that knocks our system into disarray. Rome didn't fall because of any one single event.
Look at the disruption we already have just from Covid-19.

I could go on but this is a cheesy, porny hookup site and not really the best venue for such weighty discussion . . . so . . let's get back to whinging about fakes and bots and tits and cocks and shitty IM and blog flooders and cam girls . . .

And if farting is ever criminalized, then there goes humankind's only universal source of humour which transcends time, culture and language.
