Good safety tips...

Thank you. Being that I've worked in the telecom and data center sector for over 23 years, I've been lucky to have the tools in my possession to use them to mess with scammers and back trace them. Technically I shouldn't be doing it, because it's an overabuse of power. However, if they are going to annoy me, I can normally mess with them. The problem is it's getting harder and harder now to track them down or locate their info, so now, I just pass on the knowledge I have to help others as best as I can.

Never ever give your number out, there are too many fakes on here that spoil it for the real people

Amen to that.

kik is a really good app and I use it to keep in touch with a few friends I never had any problems with it and if I do I know how to end things there ..I highly recommend it for anyone to use...

Kik can be a useful app, however, if you are dealing with someone new, it's possible that they are most likely scammers. The cool thing about Kik however is if they are, you delete the conversation and block them, and that's normally the last you hear of them.

wow that's crazy > I don't use my phone except for private use between family members and friends I don't even take calls sent from numbers I do not know...I am playing with a scammer as we speak and its so much fun ..poor thing is hurt in a hospital with a chipped ankle bone due to an accident at his contracted job...hes all in a tizzy because he has to pay for a manifest of new equipment but the company he chose to send parts don't take cash ...lol they only want a credit card number...oh and the poor dear has a son whose Mother died tragically in a car crash and he has to put his son in care with late wifes aunt who is bed ridden...He wants me to look over his contract that's worth 14.3 million dollars so that way he can educate me..roflmao ...as if! sorry to hijack your post but see what some go through as well?

whoisagentj replies on 4/25/2019 7:17 am:
Oh you're not hijacking this post...this is exactly what I'm talking about. These scammers once they get your info, they won't stop until you ignore them. That's literally the best answer to not deal with them. Of course, that is some high-level trolling you're working on! LOL!

Also as a side tip, look into phone apps that will protect you from robocallers and texters. I personally like Robocaller, because it will block a lot of people that attempt to robocall you. And the service is dirt cheap, just a 1.99 a month, which is great for peace of mind. Note that it won't block ALL robocallers, but it will reduce them massively, because some robocallers will use new numbers. The app also allows you to report robocalls that sneak through to your phone, so if they call again, Robocaller will block it hopefully the next time they call once it's been uploaded into their database.
And there are apps out there to block unwanted texters as well, but really, you don't need them, as you can mark them on BLOCK for your phone, depending if you have an Apple phone or an Android phone, and you should only have to see them once they hit the first time.

Be aware and take care!
